About Factor

 

The name may be new to you but their work isn’t. The Factor engineers and factory have created some of the world’s most sought-after road bikes, bikes that helped redefine what we expect from a carbon fibre road bike. Factor were there when the first reliable kilogram frames were produced and were the first to break the 900g barrier and then the 800g barrier.

Factor have produced bikes that have won many of the world’s great races, from Classics to Tour de France stages, even the overall for the Tour de France and the Giro.

The engineers at Factor pioneered processes that are considered the state of the art for the carbon fibre bicycle. Their work has been emulated by nearly every factory and every bike brand working in carbon.

There came a point when they realised that the only way they could produce bikes that exploited the full range of their creativity and expertise was to launch their own brand. Factor are now able to control every feature of the design—the geometry, the frame shape, the fibre choice and the layup.
