The Full Story

We started life back in 2018 with a simple idea: great coffee, done properly, in a place that feels welcoming and unpretentious. Nestled in Skipton, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Dales.

Our coffee shop itself is a small, friendly space where everyone’s welcome. We bake all our own cakes in-house, so there’s always something fresh on the counter, and on Fridays we like to wind things down with our wine and cheese evenings—a relaxed way to end the week with good company, good food, and (of course) something great to drink.

Like many small businesses, 2020 pushed us to evolve. After completing SCA roasting qualifications the year before, we took the leap into roasting our own coffee. What started as a necessity quickly became something we fell in love with—giving us full control over flavour, quality, and consistency in every cup.

These days, we’re also proud to supply several other coffee venues and restaurants who share our passion for quality and want to serve their customers a genuinely great-tasting cup of coffee.

From day one, sourcing coffee responsibly has mattered to us. We work with producers who care about their land, their people, and their craft—because good coffee should do good, too.

In 2023, we took things a step further and travelled out to Peru to meet some of the farmers we work with. We spent time on the farms, picked coffee alongside them, and got a real, hands-on understanding of their processes. That experience shaped everything we do now. We’re proud to work directly with those farmers and to offer full traceability—from the coffee tree all the way to your flat white.

And because we like to keep things interesting, 2025 saw the launch of something a little different: our coffee car. It’s a 1997 VW Polo, lovingly converted into what we believe is the first VW Polo coffee truck. You’ll find it popping up at events across the UK, serving the same quality coffee on the move.
